Mr. Magic is een afgeleefde vaudeville artiest, die zittend in een rolstoel zijn publiek nog steeds probeert te bekoren. Ook probeert hij geesten op te roepen, maar komt onveranderlijk in gesprek met de geesten uit zijn eigen verleden.
Mr Magic is a washed-up vaudeville stage-illusionist and clairvoyant.
He's a cripple, wheel-chair bound, and addicted to powerful
medication. In his show Mr Magic will attempt to reach and communicate
with the spirits of dead family and friends of audience members. The
spirits which posses him though are ghosts from his own past,
returning to accuse and torment him. As the saying goes - You may be
finished with your past but your past is not finished with you...
Mr Magic has three supporting characters in his show - His
nurse/puppeteer, who liberates Mr Magic by moving his body, but also
keeps him enslaved by administering the drugs that he's addicted to. A
glamorous Showgirl assistant - that may exist only in his fantasy. And
an old and legless rabbit, vulgar, angry and with suicidal tendencies.
