Nude Vol | Angel, are two pieces which are programmed as a double bill. To make the build-up of these two performances easier we combined the technical necessities in this technical rider.
The combined lighting plan comes as a separate document and has been send together with this technical rider.
Number of people: 2 performer, 2 technicians
Arrival technicians: 10.00 o'clock in the morning
Duration: Nude ± 35 minutes will play first
Angel ± 45 minutes will play second
Interval: Between performances there will be an interval of ± 30 minutes for scenery change. (White to Black)
Set up time: Hook-up of lights for Nude Vol | Angel - 3 hours
Angel Focussing lights & light cue's -1 ½ hour
Build-up off set NUDE Vol - 1 hour
(White floor+ hanging ropes + white cyclorama)
NUDE Vol Focussing lights & light cue's - 1 ½ hour
Strike time: 1 hour
Required technicians: 2 during set up and strike, 2 during the performance, and specially during the interval for the changing of the scenery

NUDE Vol
On the floor:
The set consists of 4 black metal poles standing separately in the space. Each pole has a height of 100 cm and has a diameter off 4 cm. Each of these poles is welded on a 2mm steel base plate ( 40 cm x 40 cm ). On each base plate a minimum of 36 kg has to be placed with, e.g. theatre weights and/or small sacks of sand as counterweights.
During the play five small artificial model fir-trees (10 cm – 20 cm height) are placed on floor by the performer. There's also 1 light objects (measurement approximately. 40cm x 40 cm x 40cm) It consists of 5 working lights, each constructed out off unbreakable safety plastic.
Hanging: In the grid there are 4 sets of 2 pulley's, each pulley is connected to a G-clamp. Through each set of pulley's a nylon rope, with a diameter of 10mm and a length of 20 meter , is connecting the puppet to one of the poles. Each poles has a slip clamp, preventing the rope from slipping away. (Yachting equipment) Each connection to the puppet has a loop and a snap hook. (Mountaineering equipment) The puppet with a weight of approximately 10 to 12 kg will hang statically on at least three ropes. It will be hoisted to a height off a minimum of 300 cm above the floor. In the event that spotlights are to be hung above the puppets hoisting area, the maximum hoisting height of the puppet will be limited mechanically to a distance off at least 60 cm underneath the spotlights.
We also use a video projector to project on the white cyclorama.
Depending heavily on the depth and height of the theatre venue, as well as rigging possibilities we can or can't use our own video projector. Our projector has 1300 ansiLumen and poor keystone facilities. Especially big venue's need extra care.
Thorough feedback with the technical manager of the theatre venue is necessary to tackle these video projection requests beforehand.
ANGEL
On the floor:
Autumn leaves on a black dance vinyl. No curtains. Some props on stage such as a broom, small (very small) piano, portable cassette player and stone block (made out of foam). We like to stick some Velcro tape on the back wall to put the angel on the wall at some point. 10 Minutes before opening we use a hazer.
Hanging: During the performance the angel will be hung against the back wall.

For Nude - a clean white ballet vinyl. (Clean because a lot of the movement material off player and puppet is on the floor. The puppet is white and very vulnerable for dirt.)
For Angel - a black ballet vinyl
Curtains:

Divers: For Nude 140 to 160 Kg of counter-, braceweights for poles

Video requirements - Videoprojector Only for Nude: We want to project video sequences on the white cyclorama. As big as possible!
We, the company, have a simple video projector. Depending heavily on the depth and height of the stage and available rigging possibilities we can or can't use our own video projector. (Projector has it limitations. Simple keystone facilities and 1300 ansi lumen.)
Feedback with the technical manager of the theatre venue is necessary to find a solution beforehand.
Other
environment - completely dark and silent
control - sound and light are operated by one person, please put light and soundboard next to each other!
fire safety - during the performance of Nude there will be no firethe performance after the break, Angel, will start in a room filled with smoke. dressing room - clean dressing room with hot shower, near the stage.
stage temperature - ± 21 degrees Celsius.
