Ulrike Quade and Eduardo de Paiva Souza present two solos on one evening.
Due to an injury Ulrike Quade has been replaced in NUDE VOL by Silke Hundertmark.
Previously, the two were responsible for the works DEAD ORANGE WALK (03) about the life and work of Frida Kahlo – and TWO OLD LADIES (04), which has been adapted from the book Twee Oude Vrouwtjes by Toon Tellegen.
Last season, DEAD ORANGE WALK was included in the Serie Nieuwe Theatermakers and it has been selected as septemberkoninkje, the most remarkable performance of the serie. Their two new productions staged on this evening are solos, although the soloists are supported by a puppet. The director is Paul Selwyn Norton, who has previously contributed to CaDance. Norton’s work takes shape in the twilight zone between choreography and stand-up comedy.

A cry out of the darkness...
The performance ANGEL from Eduardo de Paiva Souza depicts the classic fall from Grace of a tramp who meets an angel in a graveyard and sets up home with him.
Through the angel we enter an ambivalent world of dreams, curses and revelation. Is the angel a companion, a messenger, a judge or is it just the bad trip of a tramp who has had one too many...
With his twisted wit and flair for the transgressive Eduardo blends dance, puppetry and confession into a tale of unholy love.
