the chatterbox text

Using beautiful puppets, film and weird effects THE CHATTERBOX tells the story of nine-year-old Billy who inadvertently finds himself stuck inside the Chatterbox, an extraordinary machine that allows him to travel into the world of books. In his efforts to escape, he follows a trail of clues through some of the greatest and worst writing in the world, meeting characters as diverse as Ben Gunn, Sherlock Holmes and the Big Bad Wolf. Hot on his heels are the sinister bookworms, furiously devouring his tale as fast as he can tell it. Will Billy solve the mystery of the stolen pieces of the books he enters before the bookworms eat the final thing left in his story – Billy himself?

THE CHATTERBOX is an action packed, extremely funny and an utterly engaging 55-minute performance that will have the audience talking about it for ages. This show will appeal to audiences who enjoy Green Ginger, Gonzo moose, Peepolykus, The Muppets and a good ripping yarn.
